K2~Bucheman, member of the new K2 clan played ~Apocalyp$e~ on Friday the 15 of September. Bucheman had two of his clan members along with him during the game observing. K2 is a Canadian clan that was recently formed. Apocalypse (aka: ]..Ghost..[ ) had no one but his confidence with him during this game. Both played hard to the finish and made this a worth while battle.
Both players went random and Bucheman got zerg @ 9 a and Apocalypse got Terran @ 6. Bucheman started as usual scouting with ovi and apocalypse went 8/10 supply and at 10/18 built 2 barracks at his ramp.
Bucheman went 11 hatch, and when apocalypse saw the late pool he started an academy and sent the 8 marines the he had produced. By this time Bucheman had started a expansion. Bucheman’s ovi saw these marines and started some zerglings as fast as he could. The lings did something but not much and Apocalypse started attacking the expansion that Bucheman had started. Bucheman forgot this wasn’t BW and tried making some lurkers with no luck ;). This threw him off a bit but he continued to stay in the game due to the hydra den he made. Meanwhile Apocalypse’s marines were tearing away the expansion well Bucheman tried to hold them off. Bucheman finally decided to stop and retreat to the safety of his ramp.
Apocalypse had 2 engi bays and a factory by now that were upgrading + building units. ASAP Apocalypse decided to tank push Bucheman and get his expansion going. Apocalypse sent 20 –25 bats and rines, 3 tanks and 2 scvs to Buchemans base hoping the tank push would work. Bucheman tried his hardest but Apocalyspe managed to get the tank push started with good micro and mass units. Now Apocalypse could expo with ease, or so he thought…… by now Bucheman had fast ovi and transportation and started a 12-20 hydra drop on Apocalypse main peon line. Bucheman managed to kill most his scv’s and nearly killed Apocalypse’s CC. But Apocalypse was to good at micro and had to many units.
Apocalypse decided to move the tank push up the ramp so that he can get a 3rd expansion. Apocalypse built a engi bay and lifted it off showing vision above the ramp, he killed the zerglings that were waiting there and managed to get up, but Bucheman hadn’t given up yet. Bucheman dropped Apocalypse once again but this time at Apocalypse’s natural. Bucheman once again succeded in killing most the scv’s but didn’t manage to kill the CC.
Apocalypse was going full economie and mass producing Tanks and rines. He was making full compacity of this push. Bucheman had now run out of minerals to mine and went to expand the top left hand corner. Apocalyspe went in finished Bucheman off, GGs were exchanged and the game was over.
