+Ananthem+ vs Casper
Pregame smack:
There was a lot. I have no quotes. Basically is went like this.
Casper doesn’t want to play Ana due to it being a waste of his time.
They both end up squelching each other.
Early Game:
Capser picks terran and lands at 12.
Ana randoms to terran and lands at 9.
Early builds are the same, with Ana teching a little faster, but making 4 marines - while Casper makes an E-bay and 2 marines.
Casper declares he is nuke rushing. (Trying to steal my strategy)
Ana expands at 6 while making a couple drop ships, and Casper does indeed nuke rush.
Finally Some Action! :
Ana loads up 2 tanks, 2 vultures, and some marines. His 2 dropships meet caspers drop ship half way to caspers base. Since casper saw the drop coming, he stops it while losing little. He loads up some scvs, a tank, and a ghost…..
Counter Strike
Ana is working on detection, but it is too late coming. However, Casper decides to nuke in an interesting spot, and kills no buildings – only a tank and a couple marines.
The part where I almost fell asleep
The tank he carried with him is seiging Ana’s base, and many buildings are on fire. As the siege of Ana’s base continues, Casper expands to 3 main, and 12 second natural. A second nuke attempt is thwarted.
Slowly Ana takes the siege off his base, and time passes. (This IS terran : terran after all)
A second nuke is dropped on the outskirts of Ana’s base …. Zzz zzz
More quiet time….then all hell breaks loose.
Terran : Terran Style
Where are those 3 dropships going? They drop 6 tanks at Casper’s undefended expo. After killing all the Scvs, the 6 tanks continue to the 12 natural ledge. Finding no expansion, they are dropped into the terran main. Casper has 2 tanks out of position, so the drop looks to be very successful. After some depots die, Casper nukes his own base, and the drop is defeated.
Macro Time
Since Ana didn’t kill the CC at 3, just the scvs there, Casper resumes mining. He comments “I’m macro-ing like shit” and then lays down 6 factories at once.
Casper is soon mining 12 natural, 12 2nd natural, 3 main, and 3 natural. Ana is mining 6 only.
In a brazen move, Casper decides to mine the 6 second natural.
Not Over Yet
Ana marches out of 6 with a whole lot of tanks – running over the few tanks, which were containing him. He takes out 6 second nat, and the 3 second natural which had just been completed. That’s where he stopped. Casper uses some tank micro to end the threat.
Ok NOW its over
With 11 factories pumping units, Casper slowly rolls over 6 nat, but it stopped at the ramp by many tanks and vessels holding the higher ground.
As vultures finish off Ana’s main, he says.. “Death by vulture …. Sad”
Casper says : “Picture the next worse thing”
Ana : “SCVs? Mark did that to me once”
Yes folks, about 50 scvs came streaming from all sides of the map, they fearlessly stormed the ramp, and allowed Caspers tanks to get into firing position. No doubt, Casper is ruthless, ordering so many SCV to give their life. However they didn’t die in vain, as even defense matrix could not save the tanks.
Final remarks
Casper : “Micro out of this”
Casper : “I still have 5000 minerals”
