Well I haven’t done a br in a while because frankly I have been playing more and doing other things at work. Well I played a 3 game series with Masturnate today. I want to first talk about Nate. He is a good player and practices everyday. Usually I get the better of him, but today he had the force and pretty much had my number.
Game 1

I didn’t know Nate’s race yet but against any race you go early gas. So that’s what I did. My build consisted of this.
8 Pylon
9 Gas
11 Gate
14 Pylon
15 Cyber Core
I was going to go stargate/robo bay. For reavers. I could scout with my corsair and if he was mutas then I would be fine. I was also protected from wraith containment as well. If he was also toss I felt confident that I wouldn’t be behind and I could start getting goons.
I started to go reavers as soon as money allowed me 2. I scouted Nate and hit one of his overlords. I felt confident, adding templar archives and started the upgrade for shuttle speed. When my scouting corsair saw about 4-5 overlords flying towards my base probably a double lair drop. I didn’t even think that. Unfortunately 2 reavers < 12+ hydras. GG nate.
Things that allowed Nate to win:
1) My fast tech. If I had not gotten Templar archives to early and neither the upgrade I could have had 3 goons when he dropped me, which could have enabled me to hold off the attack.
2) Nate going for a great move as random against a protoss player. A fast drop that, if it fails it doesn’t screw him over.
I asked for a rematch and nate agreed.

I started the game with a standard build for a zerg whore

I do this build quite often when I go against random. Some ppl think that I might go early pool against a random and sometimes I do, but sometimes I will power a lot harder and if I get away with it, it really helps out. I get early gas because regardless of what race he is I will be able to use it. I scout with a drone and finally find he is terran. So I say mutas. Mutas are the best when expanding IMO to start out with eventually I will go to hydras/lurkers. But they are a great opening to remove a cliffing and to harass the terran when he does not have that many units.
I scout again with a ling and see that he is camping all his rines outside my base. Cool I am impressed. Astic-x taught me how to do this. If someone goes lurkers just camp outside there base. If he comes out with lurkers kill one and run when he burrows repeat. If your micro is good by the time he reaches your base you would have killed most of the lurkers.
Anyway I don’t want him doing this so I decided to hatch fast lings out of 3 hatches. Doing it asap before he gets medics and firebats. Once I have about 36 I hit and easily remove the rine threat and immediately go to his main and try to hurt him. When I get there I am greeted by a firebat and about 10 scvs telling me that he has expanded. I hurt a lot of scv and units but he fights me off. Back at my base I added a spire another sunken and another hatch bringing my total to 4. I am going to go all mutas to see if he can protect himself enough. I start to get mutas and scout with 1 ling. I see that he has a large force of MM coming down to harass me. I immediately put down 2 more sunkens giving me 5. By the time he gets there I have 4 sunken 1 morphing and 12 mutas. He hits and I bring the mutas in losing about 3-4 but taking all his units. I go counter at his base but he has turrets and mm covering.
I take my mineral only and go hydras instead. I have a great economy and I smell victory. This is where I make a huge mistake. I know that Nate is going all MM at the time and I get hydra speed instead of lurkers first. I had about 7 mutas and 24 hydras. When nate shows up with a large number of MM that are +1/0 I retreat knowing that my hydras don’t stand a chance and go to my 4 sunkens(1 got killed from the first attack). I then notice that I should have done lurkers first. Nate hits and has a HUGE number of MM and just runs me over I was able to get 12 lurkers but I lost my mineral only and my natural. I killed many rines but even if I held that attack there is no way I can come back now. GG to nate
Things that allowed Nate to win:
1 mistake… 1 MISTAKE not getting lurkers. Against Nate who was playing awesome I cannot afford to give him any edge. As you can see I did and it was my undoing.

This matchup is fun especially when you see the other player’s race. Nate went for a strong zerg build.
Overlord on 8-9 not sure.
Pool and gas after a few more drones probably at 12 or so control.

When his pool was done mine was almost when his lings started to come out mine just started to morph. I placed a third hatch at my ramp giving me 3 and IMO the advantage.
He tried to push up my ramp with lings but I had more and easily held him off. I told myself I was going to do hydras and got a den soon after.
MISTAKE NUMBER FREAKING 1#
Fox should have gone a evo chamber and made +1 to attack. Nate had still 2 hatches and no tech besides that if I had done this I believe that I would have easily beat Nate. Sorry nate but I think I had ya ;)
So I got my den instead and got a few hydra then thought…. He doesn’t have a den OMFG gogogogogo and I got one and started on armor instead. I kept hydras coming and also saw that nate was expanding himself. I wasn’t worried once my upgrade was done I would easily run him over.
Then I saw him start to tech. He had a lair coming and a hydra den. Lurkers I thought, which was ok for me I just will just hit him before he can get them. My upgrade was almost complete. I scouted outside my base and saw lings only about 30 of them. I took my 24 lings and about 11 hydras and nate ran to his main. I followed him while expanding to my natural. When I arrived he attacked me with plenty of fast lings. My upgrade kicked in halfway and I was easily able to hold him off. I started to pound on him when I saw him morph some lurkers.
MISTAKE NUMBER FREAKING 2#
Ok I should have just killed the hatch I don’t care about lurkers I can just retreat to my expansion with better economy and units. BUT no I wasted time to kill 2 lurkers and he comes with 2 more and burrows them and I have to retreat

So I retreated back to my main and kept the hydras coming as well as the upgrades. I started my lair so I could get overlord speed to combat the lurkers. I didn’t see any evo chamber before my overlord left his main so I knew that I had the upgrades on him. I kept more drones and hydras coming. Getting both speed and range. I then expand to my natural giving me 3 bases to 2. Now keep in mind I don’t know what tech he has. I scout with a ling and see like nothing protecting his choke. He is probably hiding units or is teching. I don’t want to risk it so I protect myself with hydras in case of him teching to mutas. I sit back and power waiting for my overlord speed to finish. He tries to attack me with a large number of lings and a few mutas but I have +1/+1 now and hold off the attack. For a little while we don’t bother each other. I had a few more hatches and a spore at each base to protect against mutas. I upgrade like crazy going to a hive. When my +2 is done I get about 36 hydras and 5 fast overlords and go to his base. I go in to hit and I would have raped, but he had Guards… with cracks(I think they were) I lose a lot of units and retreat putting down a spire to get scourge for his guards.
I think that I should have sacrificed an overlord to see his tech. I would have seen a greater spire and would have been able to counter with scourge. But unfortunately things I know now don’t help games previously played.
Nate waits a little probably to let his guards catch up and tries to hit me. I don’t do so well hold him off and I lose my mineral only. My spire finishes and I get 4 scourge while defending with +2/+2 hydras and drones if I need them. He tries to come in and I easily hold him off, but at the cost of my mineral only. I Maynard my drones from my main over to my natural. My main is dry and I expand to the 3 natural. I feel confident like I have better upgrades and more units. I checked his upgrades with scouting ling and his lings are 0/0 against my 2/2 hydras but his are on crack. I hold back and he scouts with a ling seeing my expo at 3. I think that he might try to take it and I try to counter at his main. I do a lot of damage but he takes the army that hit my expo at 3 and hits my natural. I do a bad thing taking my overlord and bring them back leaving my hydras to get pot shotted. Nate was just playing flawlessly and just owning me all over. He counters at my main and was able to take down my natural with sacra lings.
There is more but its just Nate taking his huge cock and ramming into my anus. I would not like to comment further on this.
Things that allowed Nate to win:
He used the force. Oh and btw FU NATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
