Setting The Stage

Well hmmmmmmmm......I figured that since people seem to be leaving Br.com lately that I'd be on the other side and join it. I'm pretty sure no one knows me, but maybe they remember seeing my name in the comments sections of other br's. I don't know anyone in the br.com/nh community. Heck, the only "famous" person I've played was Fox^1, but he probably doesn't remember. He owned me horribly though in a pvz match-up. Anyways......welcome to my BR. By the way...this BR is pic heavy. I'm not gonna give you a warning suggesting what you should do while this d/ls cuz those are old and dumb. However I will say this is gonna take you A LOT of time to d/l unless you're on cable/dsl/t1/t3. So unless you have one of those connections don't try to read this straight through. This game is between 2 of my friends(irl, not online) who are pretty equal in skill. That's the main reason I decided to BR this bad boy. The game is between BigGulps and BillyGlide and takes place on everyones favorite map The Lost Temple. From here I will refer to BigGulps as Gulps and BillyGlide as Billy. So here we go.....Billy randoms to Zerg starting at the 12 main, while Gulps chooses Protoss and starts at the 9 main.

EVERYONES favorite map, I don't care what you say

Build Orders

Billy's build goes drones until 8 supply, an overlord, another drone, then he makes an extractor immediately followed by another drone. As soon as the drone is started he cancels the extractor, making his supply count 10/9. Billy then makes a hatch at his ramp on 12 control, followed by a spawning pool on 13.

This is the builds, what do u want me to say?

Gulps' build order goes probes until 8 control, pylon, probe, then 2 gateways on 11 and then his second pylon at 12 control, shortly followed by a forge.

3, 2, 1 Gogogo...

As soon as the game starts Billy sends his first overlord to the 3 main to see if thats where the enemy base is. Upon arrival the overlord is quickly sent towards the 6 main after seeing that 3 was empty. Shortly after rerouting his overlord, Billy sends a drone to the 9 main to scout there as well. The drone's efforts prove worthy as the enemy base is found, but whats inside? Billy never finds out as his scouting drone is torn apart by a lone zealot holding position on the ramp. Awwwwwww At this time Gulps sends a probe to the 6 o'clock base to scout for zerg units, but he sees the overlord that Billy sent and figured he scouted 3 first so Gulps sends his probe back to his main and sends 2 zealots to 12 o'clock knowing that's where Billy is(He's a clever guy). The 2 zealots arrive at the 12 ramp and begin getting pummeled by sunkens recently formed atop Billy's ramp. Instead of retreating Gulps tries to force his zealots up the ramp to see what's inside Billy's base.
Maybe Gulps isn't so clever :(

First Major Battle

As Gulps' 2 zealots are going down he begins warping in a cybernetics core and making a pylon with 3 cannons at his natural so he can expand. He also stations a few zealots in front of the cannons. A short time later Billy sends a group of lings to see what Gulps is up to.
Denied
After this little scuffle, there's a period where it seems as if the two players are afraid to attack each other. Here's what I had to say about that.
Kakakaka
The response??
thanks hf

Update 4 U

Since there was no action for a little bit I'll take this time to inform you of each players updates thus far. Billy has added a hydra den and an evolution chamber. It appears he is preparing to take his natural soon. On the other hand, Gulps has successfully set up his natural and its running about 50% capacity. He also added a citadel and a templar archives.

Back to the Action!

Seeing that Billy is primarily using nothing but lings still Gulps begins construction of 2(wtf) Starports. Blue flames own Billy takes this time to expand to his natural, but first he has to rid the area of the 3 zealots placed there by Gulps as an expansion warning . With a few quick needle shots from hydras and scratches from lings the zealots are easily brought down. Also, Billy didn't lose any units because Gulps' zealots were holding position. Noticing that quite a few units were sent to the natural Gulps takes this time to send in the 6 corsairs he has constructed. Time for some overlord hunting!!
Gulps takes his 6 corsairs and sends them towards the upper left corner of the map, but on the way there they encounter one of Billy's overlords that had just been stationed there to watch Gulps' natural a couple seconds ago. In the horse-elephant voice of the overlord 'Ohh $h!t' Quickly after the explosion of that overlord, Gulps' corsairs proceed to the top left. Once there, they are routed right, towards Billys main. Since Billy noticed his overlord at Gulps' natural go down he quickly began construction of some spore colonies to protect himself against the annoying corsairs. Gulps was able to pick off one overlord at the bottom of Billy's main but the corsairs take fire when they try to get the overlords near the top of the main where a spore colony was placed. Billy also orders the hydras stationed at his natural to attack the corsairs too. The corsairs attempt to shoot down another overlord, but the combining onslaught of spores and hydras force them to retreat without completing the task. However, Gulps' escape route for his corsairs lead him to a wandering overlord just outside of Billy's main. This overlord they can kill. Irritated, Billy rounds up some hydras and sends them to just outside the choke of Gulps' natural. As soon as all the hydras are outside the choke Billy sends them into battle.
As you can see the expansion was almost totally razed, but reinforcements from Gulps' main are finally able to squelch the attack. In retaliation to the almost loss of his natural Gulps decides it's time to shoot down more overlords.
More, more, we want more
Tired of the corsairs, Billy makes scourages to finally dispatch of them. 2 brave pilots emerge He sends them to the left outside of his main while hyrdas of his chase the corsairs away. The corsairs are chased right into the path of the group of scourages. In a nice display of micro, Billy forms 3 groups with the 6 scourages and flies the 3 groups into 3 corsairs. Thats 2 scourages to each corsair for the slow folks. Only 2 corsairs is all that remains after the battle.

Updates v2.0

For those of you who manage to notice every little detail and saw the blue squares at 6 o'clock on the above minimap, gw. That's Gulps' newest expansion. Anyways, Gulps has added 2 more gateways bringing his total to 4, a fleet beacon, a robotics facility and the support bay, and also an observatory. Billy has upgraded to lair, added 2 more hatcheries making his total 4 as well and a spire. Also, Billy's upgrades are 0/2/1 and Gulps' upgrades are 1/1/0.

It's Game Time!!

After losing most of his corsairs Gulps gathers a large dragoon army in the middle of the map. He has about 2 control groups worth, give or take a few. The dragoon herd is moved towards Billy's natural and quickly engage the ravenous Zerg. However, the dragoons quickly move back at the sound of lurker spines. Billy makes some hydras follow the retreating goon army and gets a couple free hits, but then those hydras are suddenly pulled back as the dragoons push forward once again now that an observer has arrived.
Due to the sexyness of this pic it will get more @ss than me :(
Hydras pouring from Billy's main bring that attack to a hault. During that attack Billy sent a lurker down to the 6 main and the 3 main as well. He burrowed the one at 3, but the one at 6 ran into Gulps' fresh expansion. Needless to say that lurker didn't last too long as it ran too close to 3 cannons. After the assault on his natural Billy gathers his remaining hydras(about 12 or so) and sends them to the middle of the map, ready to attack Gulps. Run away you biatch!! In the meantime, Gulps is also gathering almost all of his forces as well and sending them to the middle of the map. A battle between the two opposing forces is imminent. As soon as the units engage each other Billy runs his outnumbered hydras back towards his main to meet with freshly hatched hydras and Gulps pushes his army onward. A slight delay in action follows as Gulps waits for all of his dragoons to gather outside Billy's choke. Once the last dragoon falls into formation they are all hurled into the swarm.
Blue blood owns too
One dragoon manages to make it to the natural, but its quickly put to rest by 2 sunkens. Drop As his dragoons were slowly going down Gulps sent some speed zealots to Billy's natural as well, but they are torn apart by fresh hydras and sunkens on top of Billy's ramp. Being the crazy Zerg player that he is Billy takes his remaining forces and blitzes Gulps' natural. Usually players would rebuild their army but not Billy, nooooooo...he's gotta be cRaZy. However, his crazyness pays off as he is able to totally raze Gulps' natural. Of I was only able to catch the ending of this battle because I was taking screen shots for the attack on Billy's natural. I found out, though, that Billy takes Gulps' natural by dropping on it. Billy also blows away the probes that are returning from taking minerals to the main since the natural was blown up. What to do with overlords that transported troops that blew up ur natural? Doom Shoot them bastards! Thats exactly what Gulps does. Gulps sends units from his main up to his natural to get rid of the pesky hydras, and he also sends his corsairs to hassle the overlords used in Billy's drop. A combination of numerous probes and about 5 dragoons on top of his ramp are all Gulps has to fight off the oncoming hydras that are trying to push their way into his main base. After the sacrifice of a lot of probes Gulps is finally able to stop Billy's hydras from venturing any further into his territory. While the hydras were distracted by probes and dragoons Gulps' corsairs were able to shoot down all of the overlords that were used in the drop. From there Gulps' corsairs were sent to Billy's main to see if they could pick off any unprotected targets. Due to a large number of hydras combined with spores Gulps is unable to shoot down anymore overlords and his corsairs are promptly sent back home. A brief period of hydra massing on Billy's part and dragoon massing on Gulps' part follows. Then comes one of the crazyiest things I've seen in a while.

Pure Gayness....

Both players pick up EVERY SINGLE ONE of their units and drops them on the other. Since neither of them has units left behind for protection they both lose their mains!!
OMGAYNESS and a 1/2
This picture will also get more @ss than me!!

The Race is On

Both players know that whoever can build back up the fastest will win the game. Billy's natural becomes his new main and Gulps' 6 o'clock base becomes his new main. So what do you do when you know your opponent has to build all his stuff back up?? Why of course you make the most mobile unit you can in the shortest amount of time. Zealots can't hit mutas guys With that said, Billy slaps down a spawning pool, then turns the hatch at his natural into a lair and then slaps down a spire. In Gulps' case...well he puts down like 5 gateways and cannons the crap out of his 6 o'clock base. After massing a hoard of zealots Gulps sends them to Billy's natural/main, but we know whats coming. Thats right...by the time Gulps' zealots make it to their destination Billy has an army of mutas. Unfortunately for Gulps mutas > zealots.
I couldn't have said it better Gulps

After the mutas tear up the zealots Billy sends them to Gulps' 6 o'clock base. Even though there are more cannons there than a pirate ship has Billy's mutas still take it out.
R.I.P Gulps
Realizing it's over Gulps can say only one thing.....
GG guys
Here's the scores for you. I wonder how many peoples' modems let them get this far.......
These are the scores.....yep

Well, that concludes my introduction I guess. I hope my br wasn't too bad of an addition here...any comments/suggestions/feedback are welcomed. Thanks hf.
