Once upon a time... 'Final`Flare' entered ~nohunters to find AngelWus greeting him cheerfully. As 'Final`Flare' (known as me) replied, Uncle~Jam entered Clan ~nohunters and seriously wanted a 1vs1. I signaled AngelWus to 1v1 him and thus the game began...


Who would have thought the title told so much?
Ok, we find our players playing the ever-so-familiar... Temple!

We have AngelWus landing a white Command Center on the 12:00 plateauIf you don't know this map, then you don't deserve to be playing this game =]
and we have Uncle~Jam polishing a sparkly new nexus at 9:00.

Now I will discuss the starting builds.

Uncle~Jam builds pylon, gate, assimilator, pylon, core, pylon, and robo factory. From this I'd say he's going goons. As he does this a scout is launched just before the Assimilator which travels clockwise and finds his opponent at the first possible location.



AngelWus sees the scouting probe and builds a depot, barracks, depot, refinery, factory, academy, and another factory. Obviously, as the matchup implies, he is going heavy metal. In the time of doing this, Angel sends an SCV counter-clockwise to scout for Uncle~Jam. Deon the peon is content with what he sees and parks himself in the corner of Jam's base.

As Uncle~Jam's first goons pop out, they make themselves useful and are sent to AngelWus' base. How many goons have you seen explode into blue soup yet?
The goons begin fire on a supply depot which soon has a speedy little SCV repairing it as fast as his arms... err... SCV arms... could possibly repair. A vulture soon zooms out and the goons simply step down the ramp away from the vulture. As a 4th and a 5th goon join their brethren, AngelWus pumps several tanks out of his factorys. The goons continue charge the depot, but AngelWus isn't ready to fight these intruders so he keeps his force on hold just above the ramp. The SCV keeps rolling his arm into the Supply Depot until it eventually explodes. Well, that small, yet brave, SCV stood up to the dragoons and built a new depot. The goons halted this quickly by firing upon the SCV. Now AngelWus places a few vultures out to scare the dragoons off. These vultures find a good use and lay mines beneath the 12:00 ramp. As a few tanks seige up, the dragoons get a new urge to run towards that 12:00 main using an observer to destroy the mines. A single seige tank is able to make them retreat, and a probe is sent from Uncle~Jam's main to his natural. This probe has a happy time setting up it's own small protoss town.

Ever wonder how probes warp buildings? I do.


So far yellow has had the total offensive this game. He continues this by sending 3 DTs in a shuttle to AngelWus' main. The second they hop out of the shuttle, a mine pops up and severly damages them. Once more, a second mine pops out and finishes the 3 Dark Templar off, seeing this the shuttle is retreated safely to Uncle~Jam's main.

Both sides are happily building up their armies while the battlefield seems peaceful...
...until we see AngelWus sending tanks and dragoons down to attempt to break the containment and claim his natural. There's a huge massacre to AngelWus' force, yet he simply SITS THERE and lets his few tanks and vultures die. During this time, another happy probe wanders off and pitches a yellow nexus onto the plateau at the 6:00 main. By now, yellows natural is fully operational while white builds a CC. Yellow takes the time to drop 3 zealots near a tank, but are annhialated before they kill more than a single tank. Now we'll take a look at the upgrades as we enter mid-game.

Mid-Game

Now AngelWus has a CC sitting in his base doing nothing until it decides to float off to the top-left island expansion. It lands but isn't being used for a small while. The players are idle for a moment. White is seriously lacking detection, 1 turret and Comsat. So he is being watched by a lone, brave, observer sitting just near the bottom ledge of the 12:00 main. AngelWus has been contained the entire game yet he could have broken out at nearly any time. He lacked information on the dragoon containment so he may have been scared and we all know being frightened to continue is always a bad idea. Be aggressive!

AngelWus tries a turbo newbie on Uncle~Jam's cliff but this attempt is spotted and 2 zealots + 1 dragoon are escorted to the naturals cliff. Seeing this AngelWus pulls the shuttle back and moves this attack aside. Soon before the drop, a CC was built at whites natural. Noticing that he was never truly contained well. He knew he had plenty of room to himself and that the dragoons were sitting in the middle of the map, by now.I seriously need to take more pics next time

A few DTs are sent from yellow, and destroy 2-3 tanks before being taken out by a swift scanner sweep. The goons had pushed in many times before, yet they did virtually nothing, so now you know. Well, the goons pushed in one big swarm and were owned. More kept coming but Uncle~Jam carefully decides that he will keep them out for now. About 5 minutes before this, AngelWus had sent a single dropship with a tank and 4 marines to Uncle~Jam's base, and the scouting SCV that had (STILL!) been sitting there built a bunker. AngelWus was happily killing a few of Jam's men, when 2 carriers came from 6:00. They annhialated this threat and 4 more carriers join these. AngelWus, for the last precious few seconds, had been making goliaths left and right. To put this simple, the carriers simply killed AngelWus. GG's were givin and both players chatted for a few seconds. Ending scores: This was a lot LESS one-sided than it seemed.

Notes: This is my very first BR, so keep flames at minimum. Positive Critisim is ok.
