My First Victim

This is an old-school, text-only Battlereport, enjoy!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Introduction: I am the infamous Crunchtime. Yes, thats right! For all my long-time readers, that is what C_Time is abbreviated for, because some !@#$ took the name! BUT NO MORE MWAHAHA, I've waited a long time for WC3 to come out and the FIRST thing I did was reserve the user name! Ahem...

I've been playing Warcraft 3 for around 3 days now, and to mark this piece of irony (3rd day of playing Warcraft THREE, get it?), I played my first 1on1, mano et mano. No more 3on3 Noobs only! for me, climb the ladder Monty, climb the ladder.

I was soo excited and soo focused that by the end, I forgot my opponent's name. So lets call this guy some random name, lets say "T_Mac".
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Beginning: It Begins!

I've been playing Night Elves only for the past few days and so I choose Night Elves! Predictible old fool, but alas that is the only race I can figure out how to operate so far...

T_Mac randoms.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Build Order: Dun Try to teeth it! This took me minutes to teeth from someone else!

Ancient of War
Moon Well
Moon Well
Archer
Archer
Hero- Demon Hunter
Archer
Upgrade Armor
Hunters Hall
Moon Well

PS. Your an idiot if you can't figure this out. I'm the one exception...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Strategum: Inside the Mind of the Infamous Crunchtime

Alright, heres what I'm thinking. I scout with the first wisp that is available.
First five wisps: Mine Gold
Next Wisp: Build Ancient of War
Next Wisp: Build Moon Well
Next Wisp: Build Moon Well
Next Wisp: Becomes my bitch and is sent off to scout!

I get lucky and I find him fast, this reminds me to introduce the map (teehee)...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Map: LOST TEMPLE, mwahaha, we shall never escape this map!

Yes, the map came back.
My Start Spot: 12:00
His Start Spot: 3:00
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Strategum: Part Deux

My lone wisp discovers that T_Mac is Elven as well. I turn my wisp back as soon as I saw an archer chase it, alas the poor wisp did not make it.. .

*sniff*

This made me mad, you never cut a black man in a buffet line and you never EVER mess with my wisp!

At this time I had three archers and my Demon Hunter (with Immolation) and they stormed into T_Mac's main. However after a brief scuffle, seeing that T_Mac had a Demon Hunter and 4-5 archers, I decided to save my troops for later.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Counter: The Next Attack

I thought I was safe to build for the next while but I was proved wrong as T_Mac took my retreat as a sign of vulnerbility. Around this time my first Huntress (THE BACKBONE unit of the Night Elves) was built and joined the fray. We both immolated our Demon Hunters and clashed. Realizing my own Demon Hunter was dying, I pulled it away but T_Mac did not pull away his Hero allowing me to surround and concentrate fire on it. The Hero, already quite weak could not take the concentrated pressure and died. The momentum then shifted, I was the aggressor. Finishing the rest of his archers with ease because of my mixed forces of Huntresses and Archers, I continued to mass Huntress.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Counter: The Next Counter!

Knowing my opponent had to spend more time building an altar to get his Hero back, I massed and attacked, catching him at a vulnerable time. Lesson One in the Book of Crunchtime: Never hesitate! My foe was crushed by this perfectly timed counter.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Finale: La Fin.

There was a total of 3 attacks in this game (even more ironic! WC3 on my 3rd day playing, get it?). But I thought it was the most beautifully planned and executed game I've played so far.

Lessons Learned:
1) Huntress Rock!
2) Dun try to be a hero, run your Hero away when in trouble!
3) You can win the game with a simple counter!
4) Always scout and learn what your opponent is doing!

BTW, the actual T_Mac owns me at SC but I will 1on1 him WC3 anyday...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE END!: Adios!
