Lifetime Rating for BettrThanU: 5.0000 |    | I was playing a 2v2 with my buddy who is teaching me starcraft. This was one of my first games and ghost~lizard was on the other side. I accidentally shared vision with him and he saw me doing my stuff, but I thought it was ok. Then I got attacked and had to run, but we played some more. In the end we lost but not before Ghost disconnected on us. I don't know why cuz I thought we were losing.
Anyway, I called him a disconnector and he told me "You suck and you're a newbie" and other stuff like that. So I told him I could beat him. He made fun of me a lot more and I got mad and played him. He picked a map called "lost temple" and told me to pick his race for him. Well, the terran guys looked weak in the other game I played so I made him be them, and I picked the protoss guys cuz I played them once and thought they would be easier this time.
I built a gas collector and then a pylon and a gateway. Ghost attacked me with a builder guy but I killed him by attacking with one probe until the probe was hurt and then making him mine again, then attacked him with another probe. That way I didn't lose my probe even though he wasn't as strong as his guy.
I built two of the zealot fighter guys and a building that lets you make dragoons. Ghost attacked me with eight of his marines but they ran uphill at my fighter zealots and I killed all of them, but I lost one of my fighters. He started laughing at me even more than he had been and said "you're so dead" and other stuff.
Well, this got me pretty pissed cuz he waz a jerk the whole time I knew him, and I made some dragoon guys. They work good cuz they shoot stuff far away, even more than marines once I got them a range upgrade. I also made some templar. I sort of was just making buildings and then I could get them at the gateway. I made all the buildings on the right side of the advanced building screen to get them.
My first templar was waiting at the entrance to my base as a guard. Ghost sent in his marines, about ten, and some other guys that look like marines, and some white guys. My templar just layed the smack down on them and they didn't even fight back. He would cut one and zap, it died. I figured this was all he had, and I sent all my guys after him. I had four dragoons and thre of the templar and I just walked in his front door. He kept trying to fight my dragoons but my templar cut his guys down. Then he did some trick and he could attack my guys, but it was too late. He killed two of my templar, but my dragoons were tearing his buildings up, and another four dragoons I made back at my base came in too.
So I told ghost he was the one who sucked, and he got mad, but he didn't disconnect. He just left the game without saying anything.
I learned some cool things from this battle.
-Ghost is a jerk to people he thinks he plays better than.
-Templar really kill the marines.
-zealots kill marines pretty good too.
-I learn a lot from every game, and get better quick when I pay attention. |
