"There are so many ways to annoy a Zerg player, it's not even funny. Actually, it's really funny, so I retract my previous statement." - mattzarella's The FFA Effect

"L-Look...my truck is waiting outside...and I know of a place to hide out in..." Dag said, brushing himself off and trying to regain his composure.
I solemnly nodded and walked over to Heidi; her head was tilted down, her unblinking eyes were not looking at the dead men, but rather looking off into nothingness, as if she was deep in thought. As I approached I could tell she was breathing heavily, and the look on her face was not one of fear...but rather...one of defeat.
"Everything will be fine...didn't you hear? Dag has a truck and he knows somewhere we can go...I'll protect you Heidi, so please don't worry," I said, wanting nothing more in this world than to see her smile again.
She looked up at me, those unblinking eyes probing my sincerity, and finally let out a forced smile. She slowly rose from her seat on the couch and folded her arms with her eyes still locked on mine.
I gave her a sincere smile before my thoughts switched to more serious matters, "Alright, they must have followed Heidi here, but the only two people that know about us are dead, so all we have to do is get her out of here without anyone realizing..." I said, giving orders to Dag.
Dag smiled wryly then kneeled down and pried the guns out of the 2 dead men's hands. He cocked them back, like a pro, and flipped the safety on while sticking both of them in the back of his pants. I wondered, for a brief second, where he learned how to handle a gun like that; but my attention quickly averted to our ticket out of here.
I briskly strolled over to a large and heavy bedspread and unfolded it. I smiled at both the bedspread and my own creativity as I gazed at the heavy cover in front of me. I quickly ran over and pulled off the lamp shade to my bedroom light and ran back into the living room holding the lamp with my left hand and the bedspread tucked underneath my right arm.
"Alright! Here's how we're going to do this: Dag, you and I will wrap Heidi up in this bedspread and carry her out. Heidi, you will hold the lampshade so it pokes out of the bedspread to make it seem as if we are just moving out a lamp. Sound good?" I said to them, giving them the orders.
Heidi threw her eyebrows up, wrinkling her forehead, while Dag just shook his head. Neither one of them approved of my creativity, but we had precious little time, and I wasn't hearing either of them coming up with any bright ideas so mine will have to do.
"Ok Heidi-san, to act as the lamp, one must become the lamp!" Dag said, laying the bedspread out then dramatically falling to one knee and motioning to the middle of the bedspread. "Come young grasshopper, your powers of transmutation are formidable, but still one test lies before you! Use all that the grand master has taught you and you shall succeed!"
Heidi smiled slightly and shook her head before finally lying down in the middle of the blanket. She held her hands above her head and clasped the inside of the lampshade while letting out a small sigh. Dag and me wasted no time throwing the two sides of the covers over her and hoisting her on our shoulders.
"Ok, stay as still as you can Heidi, we should be in the truck and out of here in five minutes at the most," I said, giving Heidi one last bit of confidence before we left.
I went out first, holding onto Heidi's shoulders, and nervously looked around the apartment complex. I swallowed down my nervousness and took a very small and shaky step outside. Seeing we were in the clear, I put on a relaxed facade and ventured out further through the complex with Dag following just behind me, holding up Heidi's feet above his head.
We calmly and quickly strode down the stairs, holding our composure as well as we could while navigating the difficult staircase. The rest of the trip was a breeze, we were much more relaxed and Heidi did an excellent job of keeping herself straight. Before we knew it, we had arrived at Dag's truck, and we wasted no time in hoisting Heidi up and laying her down in the bed of the truck. The rain had lessened down to a hardly noticable drizzle, although the bed of the truck was still soaked.
"Alright, you stay in the bed of the truck and look after her, and I'll take us where we need to go," Dag said, pulling out his keys.
"Ok...I trust you Dag," I said, hopping up into the bed of the truck.
The truck let out a small purr (wow...haven't heard that in a while) as Dag started it up, and in no time, we were already cruising down the road and into the rainy night. I sat down beside Heidi and rested my hand on the mass of blankets covering her. She had already brushed the covers off of her face, and from the looks of it, she had drifted off to sleep, obviously exhausted from her ordeal. I smiled slightly, then tilted my head back and rested it against the truck, letting out a loud sigh of exhaustion.
My eyes had already closed as I drifted off to sleep when I felt a wriggling underneath the blankets next to me. I opened my eyes in confusion right as Heidi rested her hand on top of mine. I looked over at her and saw her staring back at me with that beautiful smile painted across her face. I returned the smile and gently clasped her hand in mine, softly rubbing it with my thumb while I once again drifted off into sleep.
In what seemed like just seconds, I was jarred awake by the slamming of a door. I opened my eyes and looked around in confusion until finally my unfocused eyes fell upon a figure at my side.
"You wait here and I'll go meet the contact; I shouldn't be more than ten minutes," came Dag's voice from that blurry figure.
My eyes finally regained their focus, and I quickly directed them to the building in front of me, only to be greeted by two enormous breasts staring back at me.
"The pussycat club?! Are you kidding me Dag? You took us out here?! " I said in a half-awake angry tone.
"Seriously Mehdi, think about it. Do you think I come here as often as I do because I'm a perv?!" Dag replied, trying to mount some sort of defense.
"You really don't want me to answer that," I said in a very mocking tone. "Anyway, just hurry up; we'll be waiting."
Dag snickered slightly before jogging over to the entrance of the club. He had parked quite a distance away from the club and in a rather dark part of the already dark parking lot. The solitude was beginning to spook me, but luckily Heidi rose from the covers and sat up beside me.
"Wow...Dag has a nice truck; I was sleeping like a baby," Heidi said as she pulled the now rain-soaked covers up around us.
"Yeah, he makes quite a bit of money so he could afford a good truck," I said as I helped her adjust the covers around us.
"So this is the place he decided to take us...? It's...nice..." Heidi said, trying to make some form of small-talk.
"He said he has some sort of contact in here, I'm almost afraid to see who it is," I said with a slight laugh.
"Yeah..." she said with a slight smile, before tilting her head down in thought. "I just want to thank you Mehdi...honestly I never would have thought those people would have followed me to your apartment and tried to kill us...if you weren't there I don't know what would have happened."
"It's my job, after all," I said with a wink, before continuing. "But if you could...please tell me what's going on, I really need to know and it's very relevant now," I said in my most convincing tone.
"Yes...you're right..." she said with a sigh, then a slight pause as she prepared herself to speak once again, "I don't really know who these people are or what they're all about...but me and my sister were --"
"Hey!!! Told ya it wouldn't take that long!!!" came Dag's voice from afar, interrupting Heidi.
Heidi and me averted our heads towards the sound; and to...well...no one's surprise, we saw a stripper in high heels running right beside Dag. But I must say, Dag has pretty good taste in girls as the stripper was just drop-dead beautiful. She stood at about 5'8" with long and very silky blonde hair. Her lips were full and colored in a very deep red that complimented her light blue eyes wonderfully. Upon closer inspection, it became very apparent why she chose her profession as she had very full and round breasts as well as long and silky smooth legs.
"Hey! This is my contact guy's; meet Mattz!" Dag said, trying to catch his breath.
"Mattz...?" I said, confused, as I nervously shook the woman's hand.
"Yeah! It's short for Matilda. Anyway, she's a long time friend of mine and knows quite a few people that can help us out!" Dag said with an unusual amount of cheer in his voice.
Heidi just nodded at the woman, obviously turned off by Mattz' lack of morals. Dag quickly jumped into the driver's seat and Mattz into the passenger's seat, and once again Heidi and me were greeted by the healthy purr of the engine.
"So where are we off to now Dag...?" I said as he pulled out, almost afraid to hear the answer.
"Ok check this out, a guy just outside of town is a multi-millionaire weapons manufacturer...and he owes Mattz a huge favor!" Dag said in a very jovial tone.
