Well, it was me (terran) versus lone~dragon (zerg) on the river styx.
Being the sly zerg that i am ::rolls eyes:: i did the 10/9 hatch deal. The drone ran south (oh yeah, i spawned at the top) to grab the mineral only expansion, but i figured that it'd be safer to take the one over to my left.
So of course, the drone started rolling over there, and i saw that i had way too many minerals. And with that, the great double hatch 10/9 opening became an olord first move followed by the second hatch.
At this time, lone is cranking out the marines and looking pretty gosh darn threating. Sigh. Sucks for me. I start building some lings and drones, and being the genius that i am, i forget an olord.
So now lone is a huge marine threat and my production has just been delayed. Looks like i gotta crank lings to stay alive, forsaking my economy. My expansion is looking health and alive with all of 1 drone working at it. Whoo hoo. Go me.
Lone bunkers me in.
I get some lurkers, and try to break out, but a lone tank stops that. Grrr
Pretty much down hill from there (haha, as if the whole game wasn't).
With only lings and lurkers, i'm pretty much screwed when 8 wraiths come into my base.
oh well.
Lessons learned:
Lurkers don't do much when he has comstat, turrets, and tanks sitting right outside your base.
And, umm, double hatching isn't the best o' things on maps like styx. Even if you do do it right, your gonna be using a lot of your larvae on drones, when you really should be getting more units. So don't double hatch on styx.
Hmm, uhhh, i wonder what my score will be? Shooting for a 4. Whoo hoo!
