Well, the slaughter took place on fading realm. Being the sly genius that i am, i quickly changed from random to toss as the countdown came to a close. Artemis did the same, and with that shocking display of genius i knew i was up for a fight.

Deciding that units were for weenies, i did a great 10 assimilator, 14 gateway build, giving me a very hefty economy. I decided to have the best of both worlds, a very offensive stance early on balanced by a full blown economy with only 1 gate. So, utilizing these two great strats, i offensive shield batteried art's main. A battle quickly ensued, which mainly consisted of lone zealot running around in circles being chased by three of art's zeals.

As reinforcements came in, i no longer felt the need to micromanage and i let my units fare for themselves. Well, needless to say, most of them ended up rather dead with two of my goons high tailing it back to my main.

But alas, things were about to change, for i now had the awesome power of the reaver. Art's counter entered my base and started pounding on my troops. Thanks to my superior unit placement abilities, my reaver was essentially stuck within my base, only able to get off a few shots. Yet, somehow i survived.

Believing that the SC Gods had blessed me, i immediately grabbed the middle expansion. There, i fortified it with 1 cannon (feel the power!) and my entire army (which had two reavers. hohoho)

Yet art, being the selfish dork that he is, decided that only he could have an expansion. Things actually looked good for me as his goons ran head long into two reavers protected by zeals/goons.

But nope, art again shows himself to be a big dork. A lone high templar approached the battle field, forcing me to break formation and get my clumped units apart. Alas, my poor reavers were left alone, unprotected by their escorts. The critical middle expansion fell to the uncoming horde.

It was about then that i realized i had no minerals left at my main and had expanded a wee bit too late. Oops.

So, in came art's army. Somehow, the first wave fell to a reaver, 2 cannons, and 3 zeals. Quite impressive. But ronny the reaver's escorts got picked off in the next wave, and soon all ronny had left were 2 scarabs.

With much zest, ronny lobbed his scarab at a wounded goon, killing it. But this was not enough. 4 goons were pounding away at a gateway, tightly clumped. In a final display of insolence, ronny fired his last reaver at the goon clump, killing. . .well, killing none of them, but giving them quite a flesh wound.

And with that, the base fell.

Lessons learned:

Reavers don't work quite to well against goons

Freaking templars are great for breaking up tight defensive unit formations.

I REFUSE TO PLAY GOONCRAFT!!!!!!
