The Third Report on the…
GodOfWar!!

I know I’m still a little new to making reports, but if you look at positively, (such as taking it as a new view) you are near sure to enjoy!

If you have read any of my previous reports, you will almost definitely know what person I am writing about, JamesGodOfWar.
He goes under about 5 different names, but in this one he’s actually going by JamesGodOfWar. (BTW when I say Early, middle,
and late game, I determine that by cutting the timer into three sections
1 section, early, 2, middle, 3, late, very simple)

Map Name: Lost Temple Gamai
Map Type: 1 vs 1
Players: JamesGodOfWar and Gaidun
Race Choice: Gaidun Random, JamesGodOfWar Terran
Observers: SemaiConquest (Me!!!) and LurkerBurger

Ps. I will bring my first two battle reports to your site if you want, contact me at DaethVamp@hotmail.com

SECTION 1: EARLY GAME

First lets get a little opening info down. Gaidun’s choice of Random ended up as a protoss and he used the standard opening double gate moves. While JamesGodOfWar instead of the standard heavy metal start up (tanks and vultures) he used a mass SCV with a mobile marine and Medic force (M&M’s) of course some fire bats in the mix also.

The first non probe attack was done by Gaidun. A standard 6 Zealot rush. When I look back on the replay, I now see that this
attack was not ever probably meant to kill JamesGodOfWar, It was probably meant to discourage an early attack. All I can say is it didn’t work. Once the Zealots were dispatched of an instant counter was made with part of JamesGodOfWar’s infantry. Even when I was Watching the game live I could see it was an attack made for a similar reason like the Zealots. This one both did damage to the powering protoss and fooled them a mass infantry strategy was probably being played, instead of the hidden tank strategy.(Gaidun stopped producing heavey metal counters until later because of this clever move)

Here is a picture of the Infantry attack finally falling.

The attack was Actually a success against the teching protoss! Until that Reaver came…

The rest of the early game was filled only with massing armies, scouting, and base taking. Thought there was an attempted Reaver Drop. Wraith got the Shuttle the moment they saw it. Revenge on that Reaver!

Review of stats and strats for Section 1

JamesGodOfWar:
Expansions 2
Supplies 65out of 70
Techtree Up to Starport
Main Strategy Tanks and Wraith

Gaidun:
Expansions 1 and a half(one is building)
Supplies 84 out of 90
Techtree Up to Fleet Beacon and Robotics support bay!
Main Strategy Low defence, with Reavers and Scouts

SECTION 2: MIDDLE GAME

This is one of the most entertaining middle games I have ever seen in my life! Drops, speedy air combat, and more! By now enough bases have been acquired for both sides so that the fighting will once again commence. The first main event in this section is the amazing air to air combat. Like I said in the review, both players are going light air units, and even though both Players know that the enemy has air they don’t know to what extent. So both JamesGodOfWar and Gaidun rely on their own air to stop each other. Let the Harassing Begin! The Wraith make the first good move. They manage a slight victory in the skies by pinpointing two observers so cloaking field will work. In this fight Gaidun loses 3 scouts. But he manages to escape with most of them alive. After a few more battles over each others basses James’ men are falling to pieces! There are too many observers to kill, and he is out numbered.but now comes the good part! JamesGodOfWar literally builds a missile turret outpost in seemingly a useless place. And then with his weakened fleet attacks Gaidun? When the scouts come to destroy the wraith(with attack move on :) They by luck (or was it skill) meet up with the outpost and are wiped out!
Here is what like to call… DEATH OUTPOST!!!

Both players have now lost all of their air troops and now its time… to drop YAAA!!
This is where the first real damage comes in, both players have the some Idea, A completely massive drop! Who if any will come out alive?? (Just kidding, its middle game ;)

The first move is done this time by Gaidun. 8 shuttles full of zealots dragoons, and 2 reavers What could survive this? JamesGodOfWar even knew this was coming, so a very large defense was made in his SCV field but not even he could survive these massive numbers, he was close…
There are more off the screen, but wont that depress you even more?
Well now… you would think that a player that had nearly lost all of their technology would want to recover before entering battle again, well not JamesGodOfWar!!! When he found out he couldn’t win at his main base, he chose a different strategy… attack with the men he had, it catches your enemy off guard , and gets you supplies if nothing else. (if the picture had been lower down you would see that most of James’s Depots were at his main) so when Gaidun was happily destroying James’s Main, JamesGodOfWar was positioning his drop ships!
So when Gaidun least expected it… BAM his main base was also in ruins!!!

That’s pretty much the end of the middle game… now for the heart pounding conclusion!

Review of stats and strats for Section 2

JamesGodOfWar:
Expansions 3 active
Supplies 37out of 40
Techtree Up to Science Facility
Main Strategy Mass all types of units in middle to prepare for end.

Gaidun:
Expansions 3 active
Supplies 49 out of 50
Techtree all types but Arbitars
Main Strategy Out mass JamesGodOfWars men in the middle

SECTION 3: END GAME
(Sounds cooler then late game doesn’t it?)

This section hols the absolute best battle I have ever seen in my life, so I’m just going to cut all the little attacks and talk about the big one!

This amazes me to this day but it is true! Every protoss and terran unit in the whole game including SCV’s and probes (to build Buildings) were in this fight Except Arbiters (hate them so much for not being there :( it took a while, but both players supplies were at 200 and 200! Both players banked all their men on this one victory nearly all the minerals were gone so basses were pretty much useless it was up to who had the biggest standing army .
As you of course guess neither of them wanted to make the first move but in the end JamesGodOfWar stepped up to the challenge. I think ill just describe the battle, because you really cant see much apart from missiles flying and explosions.
Tanks covered the ground. There were near 20 of them they were the heart and soul of James’ Ground Zealots though came from all sides heavily crippling long range support Dragoons crashed bloodily into the attack force along with corsairs hiting the science vessels detecting the deadly dark templar. In the end the air was what one and guess who had kept more air units… JamesGodOfWar!!!! His battle cruisers owned Gaidun’s Carriers along with goliath support! Now the dark templar and zealots that had so plagued James were useless. The Battle was one and with it the Game. GG’s were exchanged and it was Official,

JamesGodOfWar
Has won the grueling hour and a half Duel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Game Gaidun and JamesGodOfWar
