1v1 Terran vs. Terran Lost Temple This is my second battle report, and I'm still having trouble with background colors. I would really appreciate it if someone would tell me how to change the background color to black. If the background color is black right now, then don't respond to this. I also improved on the pictures alittle bit. Also, be warned that I dont have Adobe Workshop, so the images wont be too different or perfect, so dont mention the pictures in your comments. The map is the Lost Temple for six players, which, instead of an island expansion on the bottom right and top left corners of the Lost Temple, they are turned into bases. So, lets get to the game.
The Players
CbK_Chris666(me)
nerdmike: A good player. He would have won is he had decided to attack me earlier on.
The Game
The game began with nerdmike winding up at the 5 o'clock position with white terran and I plopped in at the 12 oclock position with orange terran. Here are the exact build orders of the game:
Myself: Barracks, Barracks, supply bunker, supply, refinery, command center (natural expansion), starports x 4, Science Facility with Covert Ops, Science Facility with Physics Lab, Academy, Armory, Nuclear Silo x2. nerdmike: Barracks, Refinery, Supply, Supply, Expansion, Engineering Bay, Academy, Missile Turretsx2, Factory, Barracks x2, Starport, Armory, Supply x3.
The game began with no activity at all. I decided to wall my base in with two barracks, and put a bunker behind it, thinking that it would be adecuate enough for the time being. I also decided to try out a new strategy that I had been thinking about the day before, which involved teching up to nukes and battlecruisers. To start my plan, I put up a refinery as soon as I was able to. IFrom there, I started an expansion at my natural to boost up my gas supply, as you can see here.
However, nerdmike had a different plan in mind. First of all, he built a barracks and a refinery to start off with. From there, he started to pump out marines, putting up two supply depots as well. He also decided to expand early, putting a Command Center at his natural. Meanwhile, he sent out a lone SCV to look for me.
Here is where I begin to build up. I build a factory, and then float it away to save space. Then, four sexy orange scvs begin construction on four starports, using their attractive cutting tools to bring up the buildings. A horrible accident suddenly occurs, and one of the scvs explodes when a starport control tower lands on his ass. The other SCV's are shocked, but they continue on working, and two of them opp to build two science facilities, while the third goes off to build an academy. Meanwhile, two nuclear missile silos are also coming in.
Meanwhile, nerdboy decided to expand his enterprise. He was continously pumping out marines, firebats, and medics. He decided to concentrate most of his main buildings at his expansion, bringing up two barracks, a starport, a factory, an armory, and a supply depot. Back at his main he but up a science facility along with a few more missile turrets and a barracks Here you can see his expansion just before it was nuked.
Meanwhile, back at my base, a silent figure cloaked and stalked off around the map, heading for the bottom bases first. When he encountered the enemy expansion, he relayed what he seen back to the main base. Then, with his rifle, he painted a nice little dot on the white enemy barracks. Here you can see what happened:
The nerd managed to move about 8 marines out of the path of the nuke, but that really didnt matter, as all the building began to burn fiercely. The brave ghost decided to retreat back to the base.
Back at my base, I had already made 4 battlecruisers with Yamato Guns. I also put another silo on my command center and two nukes where halfway ready. As soon as they were ready, the combined force of two ghosts and 5 bcs set out toward the enemy. However, a horrible thing happened while the battlecruisers were enroute to the enemy base. From all sides, swarms of ducks suddenly appeared, and they almost overwhelmed the battlecruisers. However, the Battlecruisers defenses held out and slaughtered half the duck army before they retreated. Soon after, however, the battlecruisers set off again, this time with a science vessel to warn them of anymore ambushes. Suddenly, just outside the nerd's base, the battlecruisers stopped, and the ghosts moved in. With a "did somebody call for an exterminator?", the ghosts painted two more targets on the enemy supply depot: Here is what happened next:
Nerddude, after seeing his expansion go down, gave himself a estrogen pill and began to build missile turrets all over his base, preparing for the final assault, as you can see here.
Soon after, the attack began. The BC's came on and began slaughtering the Nerd's infantry, while the ghosts sat back and watching, trying to look cool by aiming their rifles around. Soon after Nerd's infantry was shredded, the BC's began Yamatoing the turrets like hell, taking down three instantly. Now it was time for the ghosts to move in. They cloaked themselves and walked up the ramp silently, knowing that if they accidently got with in detecting range of the enemy turrets, they were toast. However, their judgment was correct, and they both had two red dots blinking on a supply depot. Here you can see the events in the order that occured.
As you can see, the nerd's base was ruined. After the nukes fell, the battlecruisers moved in and began destroying the base. Nerdmike showed his gayness again when he locked down one of my battlecruisers, and the dyke medics were slow as shit to react.
However, that horny faggot enemy ghost made little difference, and soon the battlecruisers closed in on the enemy command center, and DESTROYED IT
So, here ends my battle reports. I would like to ask you to leave a comment in the comment section. Oh, and the moral of the story is that Science Vessels and comsat stations are essential in protecting you base against nukes. You may now disengage from your chair and go and pick up soda and popcorn. Good bye for now.
