Foreword
I give to you, the last report. My goal, (after I got a gold) was to get an 8, and an 8 I got. And, stepping up the ladder, I'm going for a 9. The step 8 to 9 is a big one, and I will need your support the whole time, so all *nice* comments are always appreciated.
Notice there seem to be no minimaps on the pictures, well, click the picture a few times and a tiny window will pop up that displays the map. Now we move on to the player descriptions...
About the Players
(Tiamat) randoms to protoss and sets his nexus stronghold at the nine o' clock position.
Across the map, Adv.Malicious chooses terran, and stations his hemispherical command center at the three o' clock position.
The two players enter the realm of the Lost Temple. Unaware of the enemy's positions, they both seek to control the land, but only one victor can emerge...
Fatal Fury
Begin
(Tiamat)
starts his game with a pylon at 8 probes (typical) and a single gateway with an
assimilator right after that. He sends a newly made probe to scout for the enemy.
Now, we go across the map to
Adv.Malicious,
who has walled in like a regular terran does. After his wall is half finished, he sends his
SCV to twelve o' clock to scout. The foolish observer had his command center at the ramp leading up to the
plateau. He apologized, and
Adv.Malicious then commanded to SCV
toward nine o' clock, when a blue probe ran past his wall.
Adv.Malicious sent 2 SCVs to destroy the intruder,
but the probe was swifter, and avoided the fusion cutters for the most part.
At this point,
Adv.Malicious's
scout has made it to
(Tiamat)'s
area, and finds a gateway with a cybernetics core.
The scv runs further into the base,
and finds it is not being pursued by anything, so it stays near the gateway.
Just then,
a large four-legged dragoon appears near the gateway and walks right out of the base,
toward three o' clock.
By the time (Tiamat)'s
dragoon makes its way to the three o' clock cliff,
Adv.Malicious
already has a crude defence of marines guarding the wall. The dragoon fires once at the
infantry, then retreats to the middle to meet with its 2 newly made dragoon homies.
(Tiamat) adds a gateway and a
robotics facility to his collection of buildings while
Adv.Malicious slaps down a factory and
another factory following that. Two vultures, one tank, and two SCVs to help jump out of the terran production
line, join up with the three marines, and heads towards the center of the map, where the vultures plant
their spider mines.
The movement is seen by the watchful spies of
(Tiamat),
and the executor ambushes the terran crew, but this proves to be a bad move, and
two dragoons are killed, with no casualties inflicted upon the terran side.
After this victory,
Adv.Malicious starts to build a small
encampment at
(Tiamat)'s front.
Adv.Malicious immediately starts an engineering bay for the
fear of dark templar, and makes turrets at the encampment.
His enemy,
(Tiamat)
does not want to waste men on this defence, and walks around it by teching to reaver and preparing a shuttle.
Once this is done, he carefully brings the shuttle across the map, and into
the heart of
Adv.Malicious.
However though,
Adv.Malicious has just made a
few scattered missile turrets around his base. The shuttle is cooked right after it unloads its cargo onto a neaby siege tank.
The shuttle had 2 zealots and 1 reaver, but the units are only able to take out one tank because of
Adv.Malicious's vultures, and that is another lost
battle for
(Tiamat).
After the attack,
Adv.Malicious sends his vultures to enforce his
containment zone of
(Tiamat).
Omfg
However, in their way are
(Tiamat)'s Dragoons.
The dragoons witness the vultures acting oddly, and
knowing vultures,
(Tiamat)
knows they are trying to get past him into the container lid. His
dragoons were issued forth to engage the vultures.
The vultures kept dancing around in circles and hitting the dragoons, then running, but
the dragoons followed, and with the help of an observer, the vultures were vanquished and their treacherous spider mines
were dissolved.
Adv.Malicious is pissed at this loss, and
rolls three tanks and two more vultures off the two factories. When those are sent to the middle,
the dragoons flee.
(Tiamat) is now pissed off at the container, and
produces some firepower to blow it away. Dragoons and zealots, the common mix.
Adv.Malicious wasn't suspecting attack yet,
and didn't have significant defences at the front to hold off a protoss hoard. The container was broken,
and
(Tiamat) could once again
breathe the free air.
Well, (Tiamat), after these moves built up his army to full strength
and attacked the terran with all he had.
Adv.Malicious went down like a grandma with a broken leg, and the game
went to the protoss.
The ending was so damn abrupt that I couldn't believe it. Short game, gay ending, Gimme a 10! (purpose was for a quick nice read for the bored kids here, and not have a super slow ending)
