Lifetime Rating for [r]DREADNAUGHT: 4.2857 |   | The battle begin on the cold planes known as Winter Conquest. Mark4 was located at the bottom middle patch and DREAD was at the bottom right mineral patch.
The two warriors quickly begin probe production. With their seventh probe, they each built a pylon next to their nexus'. DREAD then built a refinery as Mark4 began scouting and and a gateway. DREAD built a forge and several cannons for early defense and then began to shoot up the tech tree with a cybernetics core and a robotics facility. Mark4 took the opportunity to build an expanse at the bottom of his ramp and began to pump out dragoons. Mark4 located DREAD a long long time before DREAD was able to zero in on Mark4's position. Once DREAD knew where to go, he loaded up a reaver and set off for Mark4's expanse. Dragoons that sat around the nexus made short work of the offensive and DREAD was forced to pull back.
Mark4 has now accumialated a sizeable force of dragoons and begins the trek over to DREAD's base as DREAD expands and once more attempts a reaver drop, on Mark4's main base this time. The attack fails do to DREAD's lack of knowledge of the layout of the base. He sends his reaver to the opposite side of the base from where the minerals are and to where an army of dragoons await. DREAD, although dissapointed, begins work on zealots and reavers, as Mark4's army reaches DREAD's base. The dragoons with their enhanced range take out the refinery and cannons and begin to pount DREAD's main structures, the reaver and zealots just barely manage to hold off the assualt. Mark4 regroups and hits again, this time with more success. DREAD is forced to pull out of his main base, only to realize that a Dark templar has discovered his expanse. With no secure base to turn to, DREAD is forced to concede. |
