Why
not let a zerg expand
Another
one of those "not go to bed days" as i know i
have to work hard in the morning...and if i get to bed,
then it's like just one blink before a new crappy day at
school begin... =P (And ofcourse: yes, can't get enough
of BR-writing, heh). Here I am sitting in NH when
grimling asks for game and obs are welcome. What the
heck, here we go again... Well, i've heard that u can't
be good on this shit (writung br's) whitout practice, so
I hereby presents my 2:nd BR. A game on temple between:
grimling
VS
touchdown~boy
Start
the show boys(didn't mean observers but...)!
As soon as
the game starts grimling sends his ol over to the
startposition at 3 o'clock.
At this
time, I might mention that the players wasn't the only
fighters in here, there were also 3 observers and I guess
that I'm the only one focusing on the game and not trying
to bite someone's head of. Internal observerfight:

I think the fight
begun with something about different thoughts of
strats...but after this conversation both cool of...and
finally i can concentrate on the game... =P
Grimling goes ol on 9 then he puts down
hatch, extractor and spawningpool at the same time. Then
powering drones for a while, keeping up mining good, and
does not focus any resourses on defence except for a
sunken. He knows it's terran his up against and probably
aiming for a well known anti-terranconcept: lurks! Terran goes
supply-rax-rax-supply, pretty much standard opening.
After the buildings are up and running, he begins pumping
marinesand then starts a factory. The observers seem to
have burrowed the fight for a while and starts hacking at
touchdown~boy instead (it wasn't quiet one
sec in this game...):

By now grimling's hydra-den has morphed in and
hydras starts to pop out of the larvas. .
touchdown~boy continue to tech and starts
academy and starport. Dunno if u can say that the
buildings are excellent placed, infact they are spread
out all over his plateau, which i think makes it hard to
defend vs drop. This factory never gets a machineshop...
at this time it seems like touchdown~boy are going for vessels, and just seconds after
starport has been constructed he starts a science
facility.
Time
to fight
VS and
Think
u can figure out who are fighting here, huh(for the first
time it ain't the observers...). It's grimling who makes the first move in the
game by visit tochdown~boy with about a group of hydras.
This against the defenders of the ramp: 13 marines and 2
medics who fight of the attack easily, taking advantage
by beeing on high ground. More marines join up and begin
to move down the ramp. At this point grimling has reinforced with more hydras
right outside touhdown~boy's choke. grimling also takes
the oppurtunity to expand to 9 o'clock's minerals only.
Still no lurks! This guy's going straight on hydras at
the moment...but he has uppgraded to...mm...damn...hive?
(the hatchery uppgrade so u can do lurks, mutas etc.) I
guess it's just a mather of little time before lurks is
popping up.
Heat is turning up while touhdown~boy moves his marines and medics against the choke
and engage the hydras waiting for him. Its time for some
hydraslaughter, marines gets stimmed and medics runs all
over the place and hydras tries to defend...
.

.

So...what is happening here? Well, terran kicks
hydra-asses! But now, whats going on in grimling's base, can he once again take
controll? O YA BABY...BRING IT TO ME!
At last, the damn buggs
arrive... 4 lurkers runs right in to the battle and turns
the tide...
Marines and medics are cut wide open and touhdown~boy's troops has to retreat up the
ramp.
grimling, satisfied with the
"containment", expand once more to the 9
o'clock's natural.
The next new troop to show up, is a couple of
sciencevessels, who catch the lurks of guard and
irradiate them.
3 secs
later marines and medics pour down the ramp and clears
the choke from any hydrascum in sight. touchdown~boy continues his offense and heads
up against grimling's main. As u can se on the map, grimling has expanded once more at the 6
o'clock startlocation.
The attack vs the zerg-main doesn't work out that well...
the choke is guarded by lurkers and one group of hydras. touchdown~boy begins irradiating the lurks
and throws in a couple of blows in the middle of the
hydragroup.
The strike would be more powerful if the medics wouldn't
stand watching until half of the marines were turned to a
bloody mess... but when they engaged, the zergchoke got
cleared except for 2 newly hatched lurks and about 12
more hydras who just arrives to finish the skirmish that touchdown~boy started. All that remains for a
while are 6 medics who runs into zergs natural ( =P ) but
they couldn't climb the walls so...

Yey, they run alright...but wrong way...and hydras right
behind...
. . . Result: 6 dead
medics. More troops are on the way from touchdown~boy in a rescueoperation, but they
never make that far. While this attack is pulled of, touchdown~boy expands to his natural, his
main is mined out. At the meantime grimling expands once more to 9 o'clock
startlocation, mining like a mad grimling =P.
Final Stage
Here we are: touchdown~boy has no minerals, about 15-20
marines, 5 medics and 2 sciencevessels. grimling has 4
expansions, 16 hatch and lots of hydras and a couple of
defilers.
grimling sends his first squadron in,
consisting of 15-20 hyrdras only, which takes out touchdown~boy's expansion. Then moves up the
ramp but all members in the group die just above the
ramp, the marines and medics hold their ground.
Then terran moves down the ramp and goes for grimling's main again! Just to be shoot
down by another group of hydras.
grimling build up a more powerful force in less then 1
minute and goes in.. .
This is the end of terran, who as a last desperat try to
stop his own elimination tries a new strategy that i've
never seen before!
s&m
.well,
now i know why its so rare to see this strat...it just
doesn't OWN

"gg" was exchanged
after touchdown~boy did his last desperat try to
splash hydras by using them as landingzone for
buildings...

.
Now...I think u might wonder how the "other"
battle turned out, well I guess i can say that they where
much more friendly... =) uuuh!

Well what do say??? Have fun guys!!! heh
Quiz:
Why not let a zerg expand?
Answer:
Look what happend! =)
Zerg has
the ability to owerwhelm any terranplayer who doesn't
check the expansions and who sits waiting in the base...
don't let the zerg contain you! The most matches i have
won against zerg is by containing him in his base and
starve him out (yay... i know... but i suck on the game
so i have to do it this way.. =P).
Terran
quickly got vessels, and i think that marines, medics and
vessel is a winning combination in many terran-zerg
games.
touchdown~boy's
failure in this game were most likely because he didn't
expand in time, otherwise it would have been more
problems for grimling.
This was
what i had to offer this time! Hope u enjoyed reading it!
I enjoyed writing it! Thanx for the game guys!
Please add a comment what u think, what i can do better
and stuff like that, ok?
