"FLS, I will hunt you down to the ends of the earth. There is no place small, dark, and damp enough to hide your wretched carcass. And when I find you, your grandson will rather have his private parts infested with the fleas of a thousand camels than hear of your horrible fate."

PvZ on Rivalry - What a thrill

Players:

.High+Templar. as yellow zerg at the top left cornerI'm not sure why he said "keke" here but I just had to put it in here somewhere

Crax as blue protoss at the bottom left corner

Observers: SCV~007 (thats me)

LoCo-=VuP=- (just being cool)

Map: Rivalry

Initial builds

Templar does the 10/9 extractor trick and then spawns a hatchery at his natural expansion, then an overlord and spawning pool. He then adds another hatchery at his natural and gas.

Crax starts with a pylon, gateway, cybernetics core. Soon after he warps in another two gateways and a pylon. Then gas.

Scouting

Both players scout to the right with a probe/overlord. Crax eventually finds Templar in the top left corner and orders his probe to climb the ramp to reveal the inner secrets of the zerg infestation. How to not block your ramp with hold position

The probe is about to piss its pants when it sees six zerglings guarding the ramp but he also discovers that they don't attack him. Yeah they're on Hold position and not blocking the choke, way to go Templar. With a happy giggle the probe starts relaying information to his executor. It also stays on Templars plateau the entire game, doing nothing.

Templar finds Crax's zealots at the top of the ramp and hovers into the main encampment to discover a cybernetics core. The poor thing sets full ahead speed to get out of there before the first dragoon pops out and barely makes it out alive.

Main game...

As my fellow observer so wisely put it: The race. Yes the race begins. Now knowing each others races the players start their tech trees. Well Crax does anyway. He builds a Citadel of Adun and a Robotics Facility. Templar seems confident with just a Hydralisk Den.

Crax takes another look at his choice of tech and adds a Templar Archives and also a Forge for upgrades. It slowly starts spinning to process the first weapons upgrade in the game.

At this time the amount of troops are low. About 11 zealots and a goon for Crax against 9 hydras and 6 lings for Templar. However Templar now starts pumping hydralisks from 4 hatches.

Crax feels confident enough to take control of his natural expansion and moves out with his ever growing force of zealots and goons.

-Let's go right through this huge protoss army and surround them

Templar has a large amount of hydralisks now and feels that it's time to crack Crax (I'm so funny i piss my pants) and sends a group of 24+ hydras with some zerglings to attack.

With a complete micro-failiure the attack is slaughtered, that bridge was kind of in the way.

Templar isn't discouraged though and sends another wave of hydras. This attack almost succeeds in killing like one unit. About 24 hydras die to 7 dark templar placed at the bridge to Crax's natural. It was a mess. Me and my fellow observer laughed our asses off but I'm not sure Templar was amused. Let's just say from then on he brought overlords with his attacks.

-Hey guys let us sneak in first ok, they can't see us emember? uh..oh shitTemplar expands to the 12 o'clock location, a patrolling zealot sees this however and Crax sends out a force consisting of zealots and dark templar to take it out. Crax now has +1 attack on his ground forces.

The second the force cross the last bridge an overlord finnish spawning and detects the cloaked killers. The defending hydras are too few however and Crax kills them and goes to work on the hatchery. But take a look at the map and you'll see that the distance between Templars base and the 12 o'clock location is not very great. The reinforcements soon arrive and save the hatchery with 66 hitpoints left. It would have been destroyed if Crax had ordered his forces to attack it and ignore the hydras.

Some drones are maynarded to the expansion and begins harvesting minerals. Crax's natural is now fully operational also.

Thus the number of mining bases: Templar 3, Crax 2.

That should be enough for the protoss to win, right? right? We'll see.

Crax now realizes that his opponent will try to overwhelm him with hydras (well ok I don't know if he did but the observers realized that :) So he opens his Book of Starcraft in the Protoss vs Zerg section and the "vs Hydra" paragraph. It says "get a crapload of gay templar and storm the bitches."

Crax thinks about it for a moment and then he utters "o the hell with it" and warps in two Stargates for corsairs. He makes two of them. Btw he does not get d-web which might have been good while battling on all those bridges..

Upgrades: 1-1 hydras , 0-0-2 zealots / dark templar (0-0-0 corsairs :)

Templar is now pumping hydras out of 5 hatcheries against Crax's 5 gateways.

Those corsairs go hunting and runs into a pack of hydras which kill one of them. Oh nooo...

Crax now expands to the 6 o'clock location and starts some gateways and two cannons there. I watch in horror as a hydralisk trips over the expansion and reports back home before it dies a terrible death to psi-blades. Templar knows (?) that if the protoss gets equal rescources he's screwed for sure and sends a drone and some hydras to the top right corner... right into the arms of a dark templar, too bad.

At this time I see two looong yellow lines stretching from Templars base and almost across the entire map. One line is heading for Crax's natural where he has most of his army and the other is going for the 6 o'clock expansion. (Note: this is the most complicated move in the game hehe)

The distraction works and Crax's newest expansion is razed. It was close though, the nexus exploded at the exact moment the last hydra died. Exactly. In the words of my so cool co-observer: "1 second! 1, no more no less". Well.. ehm.. back to the not-ass-kissing-part of the report.

LoCo you're so smartCrax kills all the hydras but Templar has been producing all the time and now has another ton of whoopass hydras ready to rumble. Things are looking grim for Crax as the hydras now have 2-2 upgrades vs his 1-0-2 forces. He will need a very good kill ratio to make it in the next battle. Templar is no good at microing but his macro skills are quite respectable. Wave after wave hits the protoss stronghold like water hits a wavebreaker in a harbor. The brainboiling psi-storms take many hydralisk lives but new ones are spawned to avenge their brethren.

With the 6 o'clock nexus destroyed and his main completely dry of minerals Crax is in deep shit. He comforts himself with his newly developed 1-0-3 upgrades but we, the almighty observers know he's done for. Finally the mass of hydras break through the last defences and Crax falls back into his main Nexus for the last stand..no wait. He is rebuilding at 6. There he has set up his last line of defence that will hold off the attackers untill his warriors can be warped back to Aiur in a hasty retreat...

The lone cannon and two high templars are slaughtered quickly by the evil zerg swarm but their heroic sacrifice made it possible for many others too escape...

Winner: .High+Templar.
