Hey, welcome to my third BattleReport. I assure you I have picked up on some of the flamed and arrogant comments on my last Br, and hopefully kicked some sense into me about better writing and so forth. Notice this time it's a Blue backround, evidently blue beats out black (I hope). Other precautions have been made, smaller pics and less of em, due to length of game. Also I am starting out simple, like my first Br, which had simple pics, no wierd goofy graphics, and of course, better players. This Br I ran into a golden game, you know, the one that calls out your name to not have a life and spend your weekend on the computer writing a report, yea those are the ones. Anyways the players are.. SlingsNArrows and Mark4.
These two were in Nh last week and Mark4 challenged SlingsNArrows to a game. SlingsNArrows excepted and the game was made.

Btw I'll have SlingsNArrows be refered to Slings and vice versa with Mark4 being Mark. Anyways the game counted down with a couple other misc. comments but I didn't bother with them, and the game began.
Slings randomed in Protoss and
Mark randomed Zerg. Slings does pylon on 9 and 2 gates on 11, a typical toss strat. Mark meanwhile goes Hatch on 9 and extactor on 10. Both scout and find each other on the same parrallel. Mark sneaks into Slings main with an ovie and discovers 2 active gateways building zealots. In a distress action Mark makes a Spawning Pool and immedietly starts pumping out lings from 2 hatches and started a Hatch at his natral. Slings is no dummy, he scouts the natral with a probe and sees the evolving Hatch and warps in a Pylon to somewhat alert Mark or is just playing mind games with him.
Slings builds his zealot count up to 4 and starts marching towards the pylon he just warped in. Although Mark sees this and immedietly starts building up lings to ensure that his Expo completes. He sends out his lings to remove the pylon but they meet up with the 4 of Slings zealots and a godly probe. Mark trys to micro his way around the zealots and attack the pylon, but is taking hits. Slings warps in a Shield Battery during the middle of the battle but proves to be useless as the zealots slaughter the lings with ease. Mark eventually sees the hatchery fall and notices that he better start playin defense to win the game. With this in mind he builds up more lings and upgrades their speed. Meanwhile Slings warps in a Photon Cannon next to the Shield Battery for more defense. Slings also reinforces the Zealot numbers with 4 brand new ones, totaling the ammount to 6. Mark meanwhile builds a Hatchery at his ramp and continues massing lings.

Confident that he has a reasonable ammount of lings Mark steps off his ramp and moves into attack positions. He takes 2 control groups of Lings and moves them into attack formation above Slings outpost and to the east of it. After a pause he attacks the position and immedietly targets the Zealots. Slings notices the Cannons havn't warped in yet so he Micros like a madman recharging any damaged Zealot he can find. He starts the recharging too late as the Zealots are dropping like flys, franticly trying to hold their ground with no shields. Seconds later the outpost falls, although the battle may have been Slings victory if the Shield Battery would have been used properly.

Slings, knowing that his opponent has no air defense, warps in a Stargate and hopes his Zealots at his ramp will fend off any Ling attack. Although Mark has even more lings than before and commands them to lie outside Slings base. Without wasting anymore time Mark attacks the zealots. 2 Zealots aren't enough to fend off 2 control groups of speed lings and the Zealots soon die and the lings get free pickings off of the defensless base. Slings Stargate, half way done, would have been his only hope, because 2 gateways sure didn't do the job against a whoring zerg. Soon enough Slings can only watch the buildings fall one by one. Knowing he could have had the game with more pressure, efficiently using the Shield Battery, expanding, and building more than 2 gateways he could only watch the chaos that ensued on his main. Although I'm not taking away anything from Slings because facing Mark is no easy task. I'm just tellin it the way it went, oh hell I'll just show ya the damn ending.

So with that the winner is Mark4. But not the game you were expecting huh? Well that's why the play the game.

Thank you for reading and please comment,
