Disclaimer: no pics, no gosu strats... if that angers you I'm sorry, go trash a few newbies and feel better. =)

Nothing atypical, a 3v3 on BGH observed from the vantage point of one 'krakkhoar'. But a spectacular theatrical turnout, with plot twists.

Said player finds his hatch at 6:00 with purple zerg ally at 2:00 and red toss ally at 3:00. Sends lord CCL and builds 8pool. Midway across river, spots blue zerg enemy lord, and deduces the obvious; tells allies 'blue se corner'. Seeing that purp is also zerg, he adds, 'rush.'

At this point I note that our player brown's pool is about half done, whereas blue has opted to build an extractor first, and consequently his pool is just starting. Brown finishes the pool but doesn't have larvae, due to his continual morphing of drones. Eventually, brown gets 8 lings as his larvae regenerate, and sends them down to cool their heels in brown's natural. They are joined there by purple, who also has 8 lings now, and red, who has decided to get into the act with one zealot. The united strike force marches in and meets two sunkens, which are taken out with a heavy loss of brown zerglings. They then kill a third morphing colony, raze the pool, and proceed to wreak havoc. Blue decides to abandon ship, but brown has sent additional zerglings in to attack the buildings, and blue doesn't quite make it to his allies before he dies.

Thus the stage is set. Brown then suggests that they try to take on either orange or yellow, their two remaining enemies, who have been scouted by purp and red during the rush. The allies once again pool their troops in front of Orange at 12:00, and strike - and suffer a severe setback. An army of fresh zealots, backed by a whole row of cannons, decimates the zerglings and red zealots before they can be ordered to turn back.

Brown, not to be deterred, makes up a fresh batch of zerglings (he has three hatches by now, but strangely no tech) and parks them in front of yellows base. Unfortunately they arrive just an instant before yellow busts onto the scene with a mass of firebats and medics, with marines in the rear. Tanks trail the infantry, and as the zerglings are shredded it is immediately clear that yellow will now OWN the map, or at least the center, for some time to come. The yellow forces hesitate a second in the middle of the map, then move directly down to brown, the instigator of their troubles. Brown, sensing (from the fact that he has no forces left) that he may be in trouble, quickly calls up zerglings and plops down 3 more sunkens, bringing his total to 5. Alas, yellow arrives before they finish. The battle is on. Yellow razes all of the sunkens, including the developing ones, and shrugs off the zerglings, before getting downright nasty. Brown flails helplessly as Yellow tears into his core buildings. Just when all looks lost for brown, Red arrives with a force of zealots and hits yellow from behind. It is worth noting that the yellow tanks (only 1 or two of them) lack siege at this point, and noone has any upgrades. Caught between two armies, the yellow troops are turned into tomato paste.

Yellow regroups, with a new army reinforced by orange's zealots, and again takes the center. A forward base is built right outside red's main, with the object being to cut brown off while applying pressure to both red and purple. At this point, brown is expanding in blue's old main. He proceeds to build a hydra den there, and an evo chamber and sunken. He then morphs the hatch into a lair and builds a spire. Meanwhile, he makes dozens of hydras and sends them in to die. The hydras hit yellow from the southwest just as a mass of zerglings and dragoons careens down from the northeast. At first they do rather well, mowing down assorted terran infantry. But then everyone hears the sound of twenty tanks sieging, and in a few quick exchanges the hydras are eliminated messily.

This attack, however, has bought red time, and he unveils a fleet of powered-up corsairs. Web covers the center, and a new batch of dragoons annihilates the now-helpless tanks. All is silent for a minute, as both sides regroup and mass troops. Then orange flies a group of arbiters into purple's nearby base. What the -- swirly things appear, and a large contingent of templar, reavers, carriers, and dragoons are warped in. Purp wastes no time in informing his allies: "I'm gonna need some help, guys. Arbiter trick, carriers in base." Brown fires back, "can't help you, too far, try to hold out." True to form, red shows up with his corsair armada and engages the enemy. Meanwhile brown has amassed a fair number of mutas, but seems to be having gas supply problems. Only four of them are made into guardians, while about ten are made into devourers, and the rest are left as 1/0 mutas. The flying zerg units head up the left side of the map, and Brown reports: "yellow has no air d." This simple phrase spells doom for the opposition, for the assorted air units begin to trash the peon line unopposed. Suddenly, we hear the tell-tale whining sounds of a half-dozen sci vessels in action! Yellow, thinking fast, irradiates brown's air units. Brown, reacting with equanimity, simply moves the irradiated units to stand over yellow's SCV's. His devourers scatter, pursuing revenge upon the sci vessels. Not one vessel makes it out alive. After the destruction of about 80% of his peon line, yellow has amassed enough marines to take out the majority of brown's forces. However, the guardians seem to be *just* out of range. Yellow sends medics in after his infantry is obliterated, to try to slow the death of his remaining few peons (keep in mind there are only 3 guardians now - one was killed by irradiate.) After about 95% of his peons have died, yellow finally gets and sends in upgraded goliaths, which promptly toast the lumbering zerg flyers.

"good job brown." Purple comes to life.
"hey, they served their purpose."
"no, I mean it."
A quick survey of the board shows that brown's attack, while failing to kill off yellow, did indeed do wonders for the team: The yellow/orange army has once again been wiped out, and red now controls the center and is massing forces in the middle, while purple has rebuilt and reinforced his base. The tide has turned during the course of this action. Brown, beaming with pride but regretting a job unfinished, sends new groups of mutas in to attack the missile turrets at yellow's front. Attacking turrets with mutas? Maybe he does smoke crack. But apparently this decision has reason: Red follows in close behind and d-webs the entire front of the base, then sends in dragoons. Yellow micro's desparately, in huge part relying on newly built tanks and a standing force of firebats, and manages to destroy the attacking dragoons right before losing just about every last tank he has, and getting his front torn open, to boot. Red calmly responds by noting that brown killed off all remaining yellow detection, and sending in dt's to finish off the yellow bunkers. Brown sends a third wave of air, and yellow can do naught but "gg" and leave. But wait! Brown says: "stop killing cc." What? Yes, a lone queen makes its way over and infests the CC's at yellows base and expansion.

However, there's no time to ponder the tactical consequences of this, as purple has begun his revenge. Angered at being "arbiter-tricked", purple first tires a lurker drop that tears up the orange cannons. However, orange commands about 30 templar, and the entire area erupts in a frenzy of lightning. Not to be deterred, purple then sends in about two dozen 3/2 guardians and assassinates the templar and remaining cannons. Orange frantically pulls carriers over to the East side - too quickly, for he fails to notice brown's newly replenished air force bearing down on him from the west. Guardians and mutas combined make quick work of the cannons on the west side, and the mutas engage the carriers while the guardians destroy the frontal defenses. This in turn prompts red to action. Red sends a *huge* wave of ground forces which just roll over the remainder of orange's templar and reavers, and methodically level the orange base. Brown mutas and Purple devourers finish killing the carriers, and the remaining purple guardians finish off the nexus. With orange's fate sealed, he too offers "gg", and three infesteds make their way through the red crowds to blow up his final stargate.

Brown:"death by infested! hahahaha."

End note: due to my newbiness, I also forgot to write down the final scores. However Red was on top by a lot, purp was next, and then brown. On the other side, blue had a comically low score (comes from dying in the first 5 minutes), yellow was next, and orange had the top score. This would be obvious, though, if you read the report :P

Comments on this first BR would be greatly appreciated.
