It was just another one of those lame days, when your Hamster just cant cope with the stress of B.net, so the only resort was to go and play a LAN game with the local fellows, so here goes…
It was a 1vs1, me a.k.a. ArcanE[13]696, and a friend of mine, ExHorbus[13], we chose to play LT(stop nagging), we both randomed, I got yellow Protoss at the 9 o’c position, while my friend got Purple Terran and landed his Command Center at the 12 o’c position.
I started with my usual Pylon at 9, Gateway at 11,extractor at 14 (its not exactly the best build u can get, but innovation has always had its way), I scouted with my 5th probe as I usual, I sent it to the 12 o’c position and found my opponent starting a wall in, I thought to myself a Zealot rush wont be doing any wonders here, so I opted for a Reaver drop, and started my Cybernetic Core, after that I got my Robotic Facility up and running and expanded around supply level 28, and built a cannon at my expansion and another one at my ramp, providing high ground fire support for the first cannon.
In the mean time my opponent had completed his standard wall in build, which is supply depot at ramp, followed by Barracks and other supply depot, plus a refinery at home, after that he built his first factory and started Cranking tanks and vultures.
I loaded up my reaver and 2 more Zealots in my Shuttle, I then and sent them to my opponents minerals, there they where greeted by some Arclite fire from the tank parked in the minerals, the tank was rapidly destroyed by the zealots, while the reaver killed 9 or so SCV’s, befor being sent back to Aiur in a spray canister.
A few minutes passed I got my Templars, but lacked the money to research Storm, so I just morphed 4 templars into Archons and loaded them up in my shuttle, I then sent them to my opponents expansion, and unloaded in his mineral line, I managed to kill all his workers, and his refinery there.
I had noticed that my army just consisted of a few reavers and some Zealots, I thought to my self “ That defiantly wont be holding up a tank push, so I placed 2 more Gateways and started Pumping out Dragoons, Zealots and archons (yes, I still haven’t researched storm yet, damn don’t u just hate slackers), and sending them all to the temple in the center of the map, I also thought that some corsairs with “Gay Web” could come in handy, so I threw down my Stargate and my fleet beacon, shortly after, I researched Hallucination and Deweb (don’t know what got into me).
After a few more minutes, I see on my minimap, a large red blob clashing into my force of goons zealots and archons, after close inspection I see 20 or so tanks with M&M support, slaughtering my forces, damn I if only I hadn’t rallied my forces there!!!
The Terran force finish off my all my zealed warriors, and procedd to my base, they start hammering my expansion, I take a frantic look at my hometown to see in horror that I was not producing anything the whole time I was fighting in the middle, and only have at this time was a few zealots, some goons and 3 templars WITHOUT STORM, I think to myself, I have nothing to defend with, and just this very moment a weird idea came to me.
I franticly sent all my capable forces to push back the Terrans in order to gain me some time, then I ordered a Carrier to warp, the moment it got out I immediately ordered the templars to Create some hallucinated carriers, and sent them to my opponents main, I also sent all the zealots I had been building while the Terrans where knocking at my door, the carriers arrived to the scene, my opponent realized he had nothing to counter FAKE mass carriers, and he conceded the game.
So that was it, hope it was better than the first one, I know I read it thoroughly.
Yeah and I almost forgot, what do we learn today:
*Hallucination has its special occasions.
**Don’t rally your forces to a place your uncertain about.
***Never stop spending your well earned money.
